Meet Bobby Abtahi: Candidate for Dallas City Council

Bobby and Harris Photo 2December 7, 2012, Washington, D.C. – Robert “Bobby” Abtahi, former Dallas Plan Commissioner and former City of Dallas Community Prosecutor, recently announced his bid for a seat on the Dallas City Council. If successful, he will become the first Iranian American to serve on the council.

Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Abtahi earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas and his JD from SMU Dedman School of Law. After graduating from law school, Abtahi went to work for the city of Dallas as a community prosecutor.

US Announces New Non-Immigrant Visa Application Process for Iranians

Senate Approves Amendment Imposing New Iran Sanctions


capitol-hill_150December 7, 2012, Washington, D.C. – By an overwhelming margin (94-0), the U.S. Senate voted on November 30th for new sanctions on Iran in hopes of curbing the nuclear ambitions of the Iranian government.
