Actor and Comedian Maz Jobrani Making Film, Seeks Assistance

Maz Jobrani–comedian, actor and, in his words, “bald Persian”–is making a film!! The film will be called “Jimmy Vestvood, Amerikan Hero.” According to Jobrani, “It is basically a Middle Eastern version of ‘The Pink Panther.'” Jobrani’s goal is to portray “the first hero of Middle Eastern descent in American cinema.” He believes it’s important to depict people from the Middle East in a “positive and fun light,” instead of the negative portrayal he believes is conveyed in most American films.

In order to maintain his independence concerning the production and nature of the film, Jobhani has decided to rely on “crowd-funding.” Those who wish to contribute to the production of this movie can go to the film’s website: www.jimmyvestvood.com, and make contributions ranging from $1 to $10,000. Depending on the size of the contribution, donors may receive a Jimmy Vestvood t-shirt or even a part in the film. The website also features a video made by Jobrani.
