NexGenTimes Allows Younger Iranian Americans to Share Their Thoughts
December 7, 2012, Washington, D.C. – Have you ever wished you could share your thoughts and ideas with your peers? Have you ever sought what others in your age group thought about an issue?
Now the newly-created NexGen Times website allows you to do both.
NexGen Times, a website created by PAAIA, provides the next generation of Iranian Americans a place to voice their opinions on the issues they face every day. Through this website, younger Iranian Americans can become more engaged and involved in the broader Iranian American community, explore various aspects of their identity, and consider issues that impact them in new ways. Through NexGen Times, the younger generation of Iranian Americans will be able to form a community voice that offers support, feedback, and new ideas – educating, empowering, and enabling this unique group.
NexGen Times welcomes postings on social, economic, public policy, and civic participation issues. In keeping with the PAAIA mandate, the site does not take a position on US-Iran relations or Iranian foreign policy but will cover all sides of these issues. The site will not post any blogs that contain incendiary remarks. Bloggers do not need to be members of PAAIA or NexGen to post their comments.

We hope that the younger generation of Iranian Americans will take advantage of this opportunity to share their thoughts and have their voices heard.
