Sharmin Bock
Makes Historic Bid for San Francisco District Attorney

Sharmin Bock has worked in the law enforcement community for more than
two decades. She is a tireless prosecutor and a nationally recognized
leader on cutting edge criminal prosecutions including DNA cold cases
and human exploitation and trafficking. Endorsed by Congresswoman
Jackie Speier, the National Women’s Political Caucus, and an extensive
coalition of community leaders who support her law enforcement
credentials, Bock has a real opportunity to become the first American
of Iranian descent to serve as a District Attorney in the United
States.

Urge Congress
to Pass the DREAM Act
Help
Deserving Students Earn a Path to Legal Residency

Washington, D.C. –
The Development, Relief, and Education for
Minors (DREAM) Act has been reintroduced for consideration in the 112th
Congress. The measure seeks to provide undocumented high school
students the opportunity to earn permanent residency. The DREAM Act has
been introduced in the Senate by Senators Dick Durbin (D-IL), Harry
Reid (D-NV), and Robert Menendez (D-NJ).  A similar bill was also
introduced in the House of Representatives  by Representatives
Howard Berman (D-28th/CA), Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-18th/FL), and Luis
Gutierrez (D-4th/IL).
