Iranian Americans Are Urged to Stand and Be Counted

January 7, 2010 – More accurate figures are sought for the 2010 U.S. census, and last June’s disputed election in Iran is expected to help. Before comedian Peter the Persian took the stage and joked about his immigrant father’s mispronunciation of English obscenities, Nadia Babayi stepped to the front of the room and struck a more serious tone.
