New Report Assesses the Benefits and Costs of Sanctions Against Iran

December 14, 2012, Washington, D.C. – A recently released report, entitled “Weighing Benefits and Costs of International Sanctions Against Iran,” aims to provide an objective and nonpartisan analysis of the issue of sanctions against Iran.  The report was published by the Iran Project and signed by 38 former members of Congress, senior diplomats, and military officers, as well as business leaders and foreign policy experts, including three PAAIA Board members and a public policy advisor.

Newly Created Foundation Seeks to Help Children of War

December 14, 2012, Washington, D.C. – John F. Kennedy once said: “Children are the world’s most valuable resource and its best hope for the future.”  In a world mired in politics, war, a sliding economy, and social disorder, children are often the innocent victims. Many have their lives disrupted or devastated by acts of war, lack of health care services, poverty, and homelessness. As global citizens, we must take time to ensure that these young victims are provided with the needed support and services to grow and prosper.

U.S. State Department Issues New Travel Warning for Iran

December 14, 2012, Washington, D.C. – The U.S. State Department issued a new travel warning on December 7, 2012 for U.S. citizens considering travel to Iran. It supersedes a warning that was issued April 27, 2012 to add additional contact information for the U.S. interests Ssction in Tehran.
