I want to just mention, too, the first is enforcement. This agreement will have to be enforced vigorously, relentlessly.”

“I congratulate President Obama, Secretary Kerry and the leaders of other major nations for producing a comprehensive agreement to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon. This is a victory for diplomacy over saber-rattling and could keep the United States from being drawn into another never-ending war in the Middle East. I look forward to learning more about the complex details of this agreement to make sure that it is effective and strong.”

“I still have to review the agreement, but I believe that a negotiated agreement, provided it’s verifiable and enforceable, is the best path to a nuclear-free Iran,” O’Malley told reporters at an unrelated press conference in NY. “I think the initial news is promising. The bottom line in our consideration as a nation, I believe, should be whether or not, in fact, there are verifiable and enforceable mechanism in place in the deal that would prevent Iran from developing a nuclear weapon.”

Former Senator Jim Webb made the following statement about the Iran Nuclear Deal in a Fox News interview.

“What we do not want to do at this point is send a signal to the region that we are accepting the notion that eventually Iran would be acquiring nuclear weapons. There are other ways that we can improve relations with Iran.  Confidence-building gestures that we did with the Soviet Union over many years.  You don’t have to have this deal to move forward with them.”

Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee equates the Iran Nuclear Deal to a Nazi exterminating Jewish people.

“This president’s foreign policy is the most feckless in American history.  It is so naive that he would trust the Iranians.  By doing so, he will take the Israelis and march them to the door of the oven.  This is the most idiotic thing, this Iran deal.  It should be rejected by both Democrats and Republicans in Congress and by the American people.  I read the whole deal.  We gave away the whole store.  It’s got to be stopped.”

Senator Ted Cruz outlines Congress’ responsibility relating to the Iran Nuclear Deal.

Democrats will have to choose “whether to vote to protect the national security of this nation, to stand with our friend and ally the nation of Israel and to protect the lives of millions of Americans, or in the alternative, whether to value partisan loyalty to the White House above the most solemn responsibility each and every one of us has.”

“Today, the international community led by the United States has agreed to not only legitimize and perpetuate the Iranian nuclear program, but also to further arm and enrich the brutal theocratic regime that has oppressed the Iranian people for more than thirty years – a regime that is wrongfully holding United States citizens captive, that is sponsoring radical Islamic terrorism across the globe, and that regularly promotes the destruction of both Israel and America throughout its streets.”
