IAPAC Proudly Endorses Suzie Price for Mayor of Long Beach, California
Washington, DC – The Iranian American Political Action Committee (IAPAC), the connected PAC of the Public Affairs Alliance of Iranian Americans (PAAIA), today announces its endorsement of Suzie Price for Mayor of Long Beach, California!
Suzie Price is an incumbent City Councilwoman in Long Beach, winning her first election in 2014 and was then then reelected in 2018. She first graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and then earned a Masters’ degree in Public Policy and Administration. Suzie earned her Juris Doctorate degree from Santa Clara University.
Aside from her city council duties, Suzie Price has also served as a Senior Deputy District Attorney in Orange County for over 20 years. An active Parent Teacher Association member at her children’s school, she first ran for Long Beach City Council because she and other local parents advocated for a crosswalk in their neighborhood, and they were unsatisfied by the response from City Hall. She was encouraged by friends and family to run for the city council, and now as a second-term incumbent she is running for Mayor to continue her service to the city she loves.
If elected, Suzie Price would become the second Iranian American to serve in the position of Mayor in the United States, and the first woman, following former Beverly Hills Mayor Jimmy Delshad. Her campaign has been endorsed by numerous local and state politicians, labor associations, and business groups.
