April 10, 2013, Washington, D.C. – PAAIA has extended the deadline for the OGHAB summer internship program to April 26, 2013. The PAAIA Opportunities for Growth, High Achievement, and Betterment program (OGHAB) represents one of PAAIA’s main goals – to invest in a new generation of Iranian Americans and give them the advice, tools, and support they need to succeed. PAAIA has partnered with various organizations in different fields—finance, health care, real estate, and many others—to provide Iranian American youth with the opportunity to learn about and gauge their interest in their field of study while offering them hands-on experience in a structured work environment.
The OGHAB program matches qualified rising university juniors and seniors with internships in their field of interest in organizations and companies nationwide. OGHAB is unlike other internship programs of its kind, because the selected applicants will have their experience complemented with local PAAIA events. In addition, they will have opportunities to network with and/or be mentored by prominent Iranian-Americans in their field of interest.
OGHAB interns will be placed in specific organizations around the country depending on their career interests, geographic location, and professional goals. Internships are available for four, six, or eight week periods during the summer only. Specific dates will be determined by the organization offering the internship.
The OGHAB internship program is made possible by a generous contribution from an anonymous PAAIA donor.
