PAAIA Expresses Dismay over Iranian Retaliatory Actions

Washington, DC – The Public Affairs Alliance of Iranian Americans (PAAIA) today issued the following statement following tonight’s attacks by Iran against U.S. forces in Iraq:

“PAAIA is deeply concerned by the retaliatory actions taken tonight by Iran. The situation between the United States and Iran has reached an alarming point of escalation that serves neither nation’s interests. We mourn any and all casualties and encourage both governments to de-escalate this dangerous situation without further loss of life or treasure. Diplomacy is the only way to peacefully de-escalate this situation and keep U.S. troops, diplomats and countless other innocent lives out of harm’s way.”
