Mary Apick has received the Arpa Foundation Award for her far-reaching humanitarian contributions. Every year, the festival recognizes individuals in the film industry with achievement and humanitarian awards. Additionally, the festival screened of Apick’s controversial 1987 film, Checkpoint.
