PAAIA Releases Statement on Dangerous US-Iran Escalation in Iraq

Washington, DC – The Public Affairs Alliance of Iranian Americans (PAAIA) today issued the following statement following the recent ratcheting up of tensions between the United States and Iran.   

“PAAIA is deeply concerned about the escalation of conflict between the United States and Iran. U.S. national interests are best served by prioritizing diplomacy. This stance helps to keep American soldiers, diplomats, and citizens out of harm’s way and supports the democratic aspirations of the people of Iran. Iranian Americans want to see the promotion of human rights and democracy in Iran but oppose a war with Iran. PAAIA urges both sides to more effectively pursue the path of diplomacy to deescalate the current crisis.”
