PAAIA Releases Final Video in National Communications Campaign, feat. Maz Jobrani
September 24, 2015, Washington, DC – PAAIA is proud to present its final advertisement in its national advertisement campaign supporting the Iran Nuclear Deal, “Step Up,” featuring comedian Maz Jobrani. The advertisement calls on the Iranian American community to step up and support the deal, as it is what is best for both Iranian Americans and the Americans as a whole. The recent passage of the nuclear deal shows the success of the Iranian American community’s impact on American politics.
The implementation of the Iran Nuclear Deal has already begun. Congressional representatives on both sides of the aisle are busy crafting legislation addressing the deal’s interpretation. Some legislation includes policy prescriptions calling for the use of US military force and the re-imposition of economic sanctions on Iran. On behalf of the greater Iranian American community, PAAIA urges individuals and interest groups to stay involved and engaged in this issue to ensure a fair implementation of the deal. PAAIA also call for civility in our national political discourse, asking for distinctions to be made between people, nationalities, ethnicities, and the ruling politics of the day. This is what America stands for, and why we, as an immigrant group, are proud to call ourselves Americans.
