PAAIA Releases Scorecard for the 114th Congress
WASHINGTON – Today, The Public Affairs Alliance of Iranian Americans (PAAIA) released its congressional scorecard for the 114th Congress, which informs the public as to where members of Congress stand on issues of importance to the Iranian American community.
The primary purpose of PAAIA’s biannual congressional scorecards is to ensure that Iranian Americans are informed about the voting records and performances of their members of Congress. In addition, the Scorecards ensure that members of Congress are aware that their votes and positions on issues of importance to the Iranian American community will be analyzed and made public.
The scorecard for the 114th Congress focuses on legislation and congressional actions regarding the Iran Nuclear Agreement, U.S. – Iran relations, and visa and immigration related issues. We have included a “special category” featuring noteworthy legislation that does not fall neatly into any particular topic, such as the Nowruz resolution.
