Advising America on Science and Health
Dr. Ali Nouri is President of the Federation of American Scientists. He earned his B.A. in Biology at Reed College and his Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Princeton University. Nouri has previously served as a legislative director and policy advisor to several key leaders in Washington, DC, including former Senators Al Franken and Jim Webb as well as serving as an advisor to former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan.
As part of his work with FAS, he and his team have built a Rapid Action COVID-19 Task Force which will be made up of “50-100 specialists in science, technology, and medicine, anywhere from virologists to technology experts.” In a panel discussion hosted by PAAIA, Dr. Nouri expanded on the Task Force, saying “we’re going to make these people available to members of Congress, to their staff, both to the federal level and also the state level and local level.”[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
