Leila Golestaneh Austin

Leila Golestaneh Austin is Co-Executive Director at Women’s Learning Partnership (WLP). Most recently, she served as Executive Director at the Public Affairs Alliance of Iranian Americans (PAAIA), a non-profit organization representing Iranian Americans. She also teaches Global Business at George Mason University. Prior to this Dr. Austin was a Professorial Lecturer in Global Theory and History and Middle East Studies at Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies, where she also served as director of the Global Politics and Religion Initiative and deputy director of Cultural Conversations at the Foreign Policy Institute. She has also taught at the American University’s School of International Service, Georgetown University’s Center for Arab Studies, and Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. Dr. Austin holds a M.A. in International Relations and International Economics from Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and a Ph.D., in Political Science from Columbia University.
