The Story of Human Rights Recognizes the Pivotal Role of Cyrus the Great
United For Human Rights and its sister organization The Youth for Human Rights International have produced an educational video entitled: The Story of Human Rights. The video provides historical background and asks the pertinent question: What are human rights? It identifies Cyrus the Great for creating the world’s first charter on human rights, and credits him with freeing the slaves of Babylon and incorporating freedom of religion throughout the Persian Empire.
United for Human Rights (UHR) assists and unites individuals, educators, organizations and governmental bodies to implement the Universal Declaration of Human Rights at local, regional, national and international levels. Youth for Human Rights International (YHRI) was formed to teach human rights to young people. YHRI brings the United Nations Universal Declaration for Human Rights to the youth through videos, essays, art contests, and by providing materials for students and teaching guides for schools.
