February 9, 2011, Lake Tahoe, CA– PAAIA Nex/Gen is pleased to co-sponsor the 2011 Persian Snow Festival (PSF). The festival will take place in South Lake Tahoe, CA from March 4th-6th, 2011.
PSF was created over 4 years ago to encourage the younger generation of Iranians Americans to meet and socialize in a more casual environment. “The inspiration came from seeing such groups like the National Brotherhood of Skiers in Vail, CO,” explains founder Soroush Rahimian. “My co-founder and I thought it would be great to combine two valuable resources our region has access to: the Lake Tahoe area and friends and family who are interested in strengthening our sense of community.”
In order to achieve this, PSF organizers are working hard to execute their fifth year of the festival and exceed the 500 attendees they had last year. They have organized numerous events and activities for participants and have negotiated a special rate for lodging in order to make this winter vacation affordable for everyone.
On Saturday, March 5th, PAAIA Nex/Gen will be co-hosting the “After Ski Chai Sheeriny Party” from 4–6 PM. We hope you will join us in celebrating culture, life, sports, snow, community, and incredible fun.
