PAAIA Mourns Passing of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg

Washington, DC – Following the news of the passing of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Public Affairs Alliance of Iranian Americans (PAAIA) Executive Director, Leila Austin, made the following statement:

“PAAIA, along with our nation, mourns the loss of this giant of the law whose life work changed the course of our country. We are forever grateful for Justice Ginsburg’s heroic fight to ensure that women, immigrants, and people of color have equal access to their Constitutional rights. Iranian Americans thank Justice Ginsburg for never forgetting her immigrant roots and for serving as a constant reminder as to the essential role immigrants play in building a better democracy. On behalf of PAAIA, I hope the legacy of Justice Ginsburg inspires all Americans to continue the fight for equal justice for all. May she Rest In Peace.”
