PAAIA Mourns Mahsa Amini

As Americans of Iranian heritage, we are devastated by Mahsa Amini’s death. We stand with the courageous women of Iran who fight for their rights every day, and Iranians worldwide who are standing with their fight for freedom. In the days since her passing, Iranian Americans across the country have organized solidarity events this coming weekend – you can find a list here.

PAAIA supports the Iranian people’s right to freedom of assembly, expression, and speech. We condemn any violence against civilians peacefully exercising their right to speak out in protest, and are deeply concerned about reports that internet and mobile data may have been restricted.
