PAAIA and GW University Iranian Cultural Society to host PTT Honoree, Faryar Shirzad

By DC Metropolitan Chapter

October, 19, 2011, Washington D.C. – In follow-up to the sold-out and highly successful Passing the Torch of Success event that was held in Washington DC on September 18, 2011, the DC Chapter of PAAIA is pleased to announce the initiation of the PAAIA Lecture Series. The series will host a  PTT honoree or other Iranian American, selected by students, at one of the many university and college campuses located in and around the Washington DC metropolitan area. The goal of the series is to provide the next generation of Iranian Americans and other attendees with the opportunity to hear from and pose questions to the guest.

Faryar Shirzad, Washington DC PTT honoree and Managing Director of Global Affairs at Goldman-Sachs, will lead off the Series on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the George Washington University Elliott School of International Affairs. The event is being co-sponsored by PAAIA and the GW University Iranian Cultural Society. As space is limited, interested persons are asked to RSVP to DCChapter@45.33.40.89. We encourage you to attend this event and learn more about public service and making a difference in your communities.

To College/University students: If you are interested in hosting a guest at your college or university, please contact PAAIA DC at the above email address. We will be happy to work with you to obtain and host your speaker of choice.
