Nobel Laureate Ebadi Addresses Human Rights in Iran at Carnegie Endowment

On Monday, February 2, 2009, Nobel Laureate and human rights lawyer Shirin Ebadi spoke at the Carnegi Endowment for International Peace in Washington D.C. Iranian Americans as well as members of academia, the media, and various organizations in the DC area gathered for the chance to hear Dr. Ebadi speak about the current human rights condition in Iran. The panel included acting director of the U.S. Institute of Peace’s Muslim World Initiative, Daniel Brumberg, and Karim Sadjadpour, an associate at the Carnegi Endowment for International Peace.
