Iranian American Joins the Cast of “Saturday Night Live”

September 2, 2009, Washington, D.C. – Iranian American Nasim Pedrad will join the cast of “Saturday Night Live” for its 35th season. Born in Tehran, Nasim graduated from UCLA and performed at the Groundlings, the Upright Citizens Brigade and Improv Olympic . In addition, she had guest roles on popular shows such as “ER” and “Gilmore Girls” and staged a one woman comedy show “Me, Myself and Iran”, which was selected for the 2007 HBO Comedy Festival in Las Vegas.

Nasim will make her first appearance on “Saturday Night Live” when the show airs September 26th.
