Fifteen Iranian American Students Awarded IASF Scholarships

The Iranian American Scholarship Fund has awarded scholarships to 15 outstanding students for the 2009-2010 academic year. This year’s recipients are from all across the country, studying at prestigious universities such as Yale, Georgetown and UCLA and in such diverse fields of study as Business, Middle Eastern Study and Art. Founded in 1997 by a group of philanthropists in San Diego, the Iranian American Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to full time graduate and undergraduate students of Iranian heritage who “exhibit academic excellence as well as financial need, and a commitment to community service”. In its twelve years of existence, the IASF has awarded scholarships to a total of 118 Iranian American students.
