Mahvash Yazdi Elected to PAAIA Fund Board of Directors



Washington, D.C. - On September 26, 2008, PAAIA’s Board of Directors unanimously voted to elect Mahvash Yazdi as a member of the Board of Directors of the PAAIA Fund for a two-year term, effective immediately. Ms. Yazdi is senior vice president of Business Integration and chief information officer for Edison International.

 Hamid Biglari, Chairman of the Board of Directors of PAAIA, said: “We are very pleased Mahvash is joining the PAAIA Fund board of directors. She has extensive experience in civic and not-for- profit organizations and has knowledge and insight which will bring significant contributions to PAAIA’s educational activities.”

Ms. Yazdi is senior vice president of Business Integration and chief information officer for Edison International. She oversees the delivery of business-enabling technologies. Since 1997 when she joined the company, Yazdi has transformed its Information Technology organization into one recognized nationally for eleven consecutive years as one of the "100 Best Places to Work in IT" by Computerworld magazine.

Ms. Yazdi also serves on the board of directors of the Claremont University Consortium and is an advisory board member for the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business. In addition, she is a director for Apria HealthCare and is a member of the International Women's Forum.

Yazdi earned her M.B.A. from the University of Southern California and her B.S. in industrial management from Polytechnic University, Pomona. She also completed the Management of Information Technology program at Harvard Business School.

PAAIA Fund is an educational non-profit organization that is affiliated with PAAIA, and provides funding for the educational activities of PAAIA and other organizations that share its mission.
