PAAIA brings an exclusive premier of The Iran Job To Houston

houston-iran-jobJune 30, 2012, Houston, TX – On a stormy afternoon over 200 engaged PAAIA members and friends attended an exclusive premier of the movie, The Iran Job, at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (MFAH).

The Iran Job follows American basketball player Kevin Sheppard as he accepts a job to play in one of the world’s most feared countries: Iran. With tensions running high between Iran and the West, Kevin tries to separate sports from politics only to find that politics is impossible to escape in Iran.

Producers Sara Nodjoumi and her husband Till Schauder arrived in Houston in the morning of the premier and presented the movie to the audience. In follow-up, they responded to questions from the audience and described the purpose of creating this well received documentary.  Sara and Till started this project in the fall of 2008.

The film’s successful World Premier in Los Angeles in June 2012 and the positive screening in Houston will be followed by another screening in Washington DC on July 8, 2012 and in New York City in August. The movie will open in theaters in New York and Los Angeles this fall with the anticipation of opening in many more major cities thereafter.
